People looking to own affordable homes can visit the ‘Affordable Housing Carnival-Malaysia Property Expo’ (MAPEX) from August 11 to 13 at the Shah Alam Convention Centre.
The carnival is organised by the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA) as well as the Ministry of Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government (KPKT).
MAPEX Committee chairman Datuk Ng Seing Leong said the three-day carnival would offer a wide range of properties with attractive promotions besides focusing on showcasing affordable housing priced below RM500,000.
“Properties with special Bumiputera discounts will also be showcased during the carnival,” he said.
Ng is also the patron of REHDA. He said that he was confident that with the tremendous support from developers, government agencies as well as financial institutions, MAPEX would continue to be the right platform that connected buyers to their dream homes.
More than 60 developers, government agencies as well as financial institutions would participate in the carnival.
“REHDA is honoured to work with KPKT in organising this carnival as part of our efforts to encourage home ownership,” he said, adding that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar had been invited to grace the carnival on August 12.
He also said that there would be various activities throughout the three-day carnival and attractive prizes to be won.
